THE FORMAT
The Coaches Run the Show
What separates Golf Gauntlet from every other sports competition? The coaches decide who survives. Challenge results create risk — but it's the coaches who make the final call at every fire pit ceremony. They weigh performance, attitude, coachability, and raw potential. Picking wrong costs them the $50,000 co-prize.
The Draft
Episode 1 opens with a live golf combine. Both coaches evaluate all 10 players before selecting their 5-person team — creating instant alliances and instant rivalries.
Weekly Challenges
Each episode tests a specific golf skill — driving, wedges, putting, mental toughness, and more — with creative twists that separate the clutch performers from the pretenders.
MVP Safety
The best performer from each team earns MVP status and is immune from the next fire pit. Safety is earned, never given — and it changes the entire team dynamic.
Fire Pit Ceremony
The emotional anchor of the show. Vulnerable players stand before their coaches. Two are eliminated. The fire pit is dramatic, strategic, and deeply personal.
EPISODE BREAKDOWN
10 Episodes. One Champion.
Every episode is a standalone event — a celebrity coach, a skill challenge with a creative twist, team strategy sessions, and the ever-present threat of elimination. Here's your full-season roadmap.
EPISODE SPOTLIGHT
YouTube Thumbnail Moments
Golf Gauntlet is engineered for viral content. Each episode has a cinematic hook, a shocking twist, and a breakout moment that drives clicks, shares, and subscribers.
Ep. 2 — The Driving Challenge
A World Long Drive Champion coaches both teams. Players earn points for distance — but lose them for missing the center line. The twist: they must hit a draw AND a fade into target corridors. Power without control sends you home.
Ep. 3 — Wedge Challenge 🔥
The Scoring Zone puts players on the clock with 30, 60, and 100-yard targets. Safe shot or attack the tight pin? Decision-making under pressure separates the pretenders from the players. First fire pit of the season.
Ep. 5 — Dawn Patrol 🔥
Players are woken before sunrise with zero warning. No warm-up, no range session, no routine. The Dawn Patrol Pressure Test begins immediately. This episode reveals who panics and who is built differently.
Ep. 7 — Vintage Equipment 🔥
Nine holes with old-school equipment — and players must draft their clubs before the round. No modern tech, no yardage apps, no forgiveness. Pure strategy, creativity, and survival. One of the most unpredictable episodes of the season.
THE DRAMA
The Fire Pit Changes Everything
Four times this season, players gather at the fire pit. Two will be cut. But here's the twist that makes Golf Gauntlet genuinely unpredictable: the coaches make the call — not the scoreboard. Challenge performance creates vulnerability, but a coach can save someone who earned nothing that week if they believe in their long-term potential. And they can cut a top performer if trust has been broken.
This mechanic creates the same gut-punch drama as the best reality TV ever produced — while keeping every episode rooted in real golf skill, real coaching decisions, and real consequences. Players campaign. Alliances form. Secrets surface. And two people go home every time the fire lights up.
CELEBRITY COACHES
World-Class Guest Instructors Every Episode
Each episode features a celebrity guest coach who specializes in the exact skill being tested. They train both teams, explain the fundamentals, and give the audience genuine golf education wrapped in high-stakes entertainment. These segments are appointment viewing for golf fans at every level.
Ep. 2 — World Long Drive Champion
World Long Drive champion. Teaches players to generate explosive speed while keeping the ball in play — a skill most golfers have never been coached on.
Ep. 3 — Short Game Specialist
A master of the scoring zone covers 30, 60, and 100-yard wedges plus greenside bunker technique — the shots that make or break golfer rounds.
Ep. 4 — Putting Specialist
Lag putting, alignment, routine, and how to handle the nerves on must-make four-footers. The Putting Gauntlet is one of the most tension-filled challenges of the season.
Ep. 5 — Mental Performance Coach
Sports psychologist, elite pressure-performance expert, or former Tour player. Covers breathing, visualization, emotional reset, and how to compete when everything feels off.
Ep. 6 — Shot Shaping Expert
Draws, fades, high shots, low stingers — the art of hitting the shot the course demands, not just the shot you're most comfortable with.
Eps. 7–8 — Golf Legend
The vintage equipment episode and Final Four Shootout bring in a high-profile golf figure who elevates the prestige and production value heading into the championship.
THE FINALE
Episodes 9 & 10: The Championship Match
The Setup
The final two golfers play a full 18-hole championship match — 9 holes in Episode 9, 9 holes in Episode 10. No more weekly challenges. No more team dynamics. Just two players, two caddies, and the most pressure-packed golf of the season.
In the most dramatic role reversal of the season, the coaches become caddies. Their season-long investment in their player is now on full display — club selection, course strategy, mental management, and gut instinct in real time.
What's At Stake
Every skill tested across the season comes back in the championship: driving accuracy from Episode 2, wedge precision from Episode 3, putting nerves from Episode 4, mental toughness from Episode 5, and shot-making creativity from Episode 6.
Episode 9 ends on a cliffhanger after the front nine. Episode 10 delivers the payoff — the winner is crowned and the $100,000 prize pool is split between the winning golfer and their coach.
